Mimipets, a brand centered around interactive plush companions and robotic “pet” toys, required a digital experience capable of translating emotional connection into an online environment. Because the appeal of the product relies on movement, sound, and personality, the challenge was to communicate warmth and interactivity through a screen while maintaining strong ecommerce performance.

The project focused on designing an EC experience that combined expressive visual storytelling with mobile-first usability, allowing the brand’s playful identity and product charm to resonate with socially driven audiences.

Challenges

Interactive plush and "pet" robots like Mimipets rely heavily on emotional appeal and "cuteness." The digital challenge was to convey the tactile and interactive nature of the product through a screen.

Solutions

Focused on emotive UI design. They utilized video integration and "kawaii" (cute) design elements throughout the site to highlight the movement and sound features of the toys. They also optimized the mobile shopping experience to capture social media traffic.
