Kit and Ace is a Canadian technical apparel brand known for elevated everyday essentials and its signature “technical cashmere.” It speaks to urban, style-conscious consumers who want pieces that move smoothly from work to commute and everyday life, balancing polish with comfort.
As the brand entered Japan, the focus shifted from a limited pop-up presence to building a long-term, digital-first footprint. The challenge was to preserve Kit and Ace’s clean, international aesthetic while adapting product information, sizing, and expectations around service to the needs of Japanese shoppers.
Through careful localization of content and experience, Kit and Ace’s Japan-facing e-commerce presence became a natural extension of the global brand. A clear, reliable shopping journey supported by solid operations and customer care allows Japanese customers to engage with the collection confidently, while maintaining the brand’s modern, performance-meets-lifestyle positioning.

Challenge
Kit and Ace needed to evolve from a short-term Tokyo pop-up to a permanent, Japan-ready e-commerce presence without knowledge of Japanese markets or a localized team. They desired to keep the brand’s minimalist look without knowing Japan’s key product, sizing, and service expectations.


Solution
Launched localized storefronts on major marketplaces and a Japanese-language brand site, tailoring content, sizing, and visual design for local shoppers. We integrated import, warehousing, inventory, logistics, support, and marketplace ads into one unified, fully managed operation inclding retail and ec-commerce presence, with the first store in Mitsubishi Marine&Walk in Yokohoma and POP-UP in trendy Naka-Meguro.

Kit and Ace gained a stable, always-on digital presence in Japan. The brand converted a one-off retail test into a scalable revenue channel, growing online sales while keeping overhead lean and brand expression consistent.
